Reminder: New Central will be participating in the Fuel up for 60 event tomorrow. Friends, Family and community members are invited to watch from the bleachers at the football field. Kindergarten and 1st grade will begin at 11:30, 2nd and 3rd grade will begin at 12:00, and 4th grade will begin at 12:30. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Fuel up to play 60 Event information: We have an exciting day planned for our students here at Havana Junior High School on Thursday, September 7th. We have 5 former NFL players that will speak to the students about the importance of physical activity and nutrition. Parents and family are invited to come sit in the stands at the football field for the afternoon activity sessions. Fifth and sixth grade students will be doing the afternoon activity sessions from 12:50-1:30. Seventh and eighth grade students will be doing the afternoon activity sessions from 1:30-2:10. All students will go back to class after the sessions and dismissal will be at normal times. Parking is available in the designated grass area on the west side of the football field. This is located between the high school and the football field. Parking is also available in the west parking lot between the junior high and football field. We hope to see you there for this event.

Junior High school students are encouraged to bring in items for those who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Supplies will be picked up here at the junior high on September 8th and shipped to Texas on September 9th. The following items are needed: baby wipes, diapers, hygiene products, non-perishable foods, paper goods, first aid products, trash bags, work gloves, cleaning supplies, and pet food.
